High in the Sierra Nevada of California pure spring water bubbles up through a granite peak atop Leek Springs Mountain at 7,600 feet. The air up there is pure and clean and the views are spectacular.

The water from the bubbling spring trickles down a steep, south-facing slope - the beginnings of a tiny alpine stream known as Cat Creek. A few miles down stream brook and rainbow trout swim as the creek meanders through evergreen forest between the ridges of "Plummer" and "Cat Creek". Natural areas like this feed the soul and energize the spirit contributing to the well being of another earthen species... human beings.
